VD Gulf Signs Supply Agreement With Satair
Middle Eastern MRO VD Gulf has signed a long term supply agreement with Satair. The agreement will increase regional availability of and includes set contracted pricing for various aircraft parts and hardware, which will be supported by Satair from its Dubai warehouse.

ASI Aero To Part Out A330
ASI Aero has acquired an ex-Brussels Airlines A330-300 for part out in the UK.

INFORM Adds COVID-19 Contact Tracing to GroundStar
INFORM GmbH—a provider of software solutions for aircraft maintenance, turnarounds, workforce management and more—has added COVID-19 contact tracing functionality to its GroundStar product, GS RealTime. It says the technology will be able to use historical staff allocation data to visualize an infected person’s history of contacts. Additionally, INFORM says GroundStar can help aviation companies design shift plans to reduce staff contacts and calculate impacts of reported infections on other staff members and staff demand requirements.

Choose Aerospace Offers Aviation Technical Education Funding
Recently formed nonprofit Choose Aerospace, which is dedicated to promoting aerospace technical careers, has announced it will provide $25,000 worth of scholarships, textbooks, training systems and testing fee credits to educators and future aviators. Eligible applicants must be enrolled at or teach in an aviation technical program. The deadline to apply is Oct. 15, 2020.

Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen Advances PW1100 Capability
Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen has completed its first repair for the PW1100 fan cowl. Earlier this year it completed its first repair for the PW110 TR engine type.

Girls in Aviation Day Goes Virtual
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Women in Aviation International has announced that its annual Girls in Aviation Day will go virtual this year. It is launching a new Aviation for Girls App on Sept. 26, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force, which will provide content and resources such as career videos, virtual museum tours, hands-on activities and scholarship information.

New CEO At Wencor
Wencor has promoted Shawn Trogdon to CEO. Trogdon joined Wencor in 2014, most recently serving as CFO. He succeeds Chris Curtis, who is stepping down at the end of August to pursue retirement.

GA Telesis Offering New Remote Inspection Services
GA Telesis is introducing two new technologies for remote maintenance inspections. Its Remote Table Inspection Solution (RTIS) will be offered by GA Telesis Engine Services as an alternative to on-site table inspection of engine parts, while its Enhanced Integration Extended Reality Remote Inspection Solution (EIERRIS) will enable customers to connect remotely via augmented and mixed reality interactions.

APOC Acquires Another A320
APOC Aviation has purchased another Airbus A320 family airframe for teardown.

PMA Part Milestone for ATS
ATS announced that its 100th PMA part was approved by the FAA. It says its PMA offerings are engineered using data from airframe maintenance and component repair work scopes to replace high cost, long lead time and high failure parts.
