Product: ATR is working with Safran Landing Systems to address operators’ landing gear pain points and minimize aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations. The companies are consolidating field data and operational feedback and enhancing engineering assessment processes to improve responsiveness in situations requiring specific repairs or technical evaluations. They have already jointly extended the time between nose landing gear overhauls to 10 years from nine. ATR is considering whether similar improvements could be achieved for the main landing gear. The company also provides a range of landing gear support services, including a partnership with Safran to provide customers with access to a pool of landing gear and subcomponents.
