Repair data and tracking management provider b2b-aero has integrated its Capabilities App into Lufthansa Technik’s AVIATAR platform. The Capabilities App allows users to find and compare offerings for MRO services for specific aircraft part numbers. The app makes information on pricing, repair station performance and certifications accessible while allowing users to send requests for quotes to suppliers and manage proposals online. Lufthansa Technik says b2b-aero is the first AVIATAR partner to use their software development kit.

Lufthansa Technik AG to provide component supply for Pan Pacific Airlines
Philippines-based carrier Pan Pacific Airlines has chosen Lufthansa Technik AG to provide comprehensive component supply on its fleet of A320s. The six year contract, which was signed at MRO Asia-Pacific, will involve the repair and overhaul of components along with pooling and spare part leasing at the airline’s home base.

New customers for Cyclean Engine Wash
Solaseed Air and another unnamed customer in Japan have signed up for Lufthansa Technik AG’s Cyclean Engine Wash product. They will join existing Japanese customer Peach Aviation, which just extended its Cyclean Engine Wash contract until 2020 for its A320 fleet. LHT says the engine wash product is 70% quicker than conventional engine cleaning methods and can be carried out anywhere at an airport site.

Hebei Airlines to use emergency floor-path marking system from Lufthansa Technik
Chinese carrier Hebei Airlines will use the GuideU “CustomFit” emergency floor-path marking system from Lufthansa Technik AG in its Boeing 737 and Embraer E190 fleets. The system will be implemented with an integrated corporate logo for the first time, giving Heibei a more customized product.

Lufthansa Technik Sofia expands facilities in Bulgaria
Lufthansa Technik has expanded its capacities at Sofia Airport with a new hangar, office and multifunctional building—making it the largest base maintenance facility in Eastern Europe. LHT says the new expansion, which cost approximately 35 million euro, will lead to a 60% capacity increase per year and a 30% increase in the number of employees in Sofia. The modern facilities can accommodate and service eight narrowbody aircraft simultaneously and one aircraft in a nose-in position. The service spectrum will range from line maintenance to D-checks, as well as additional services, such as aircraft painting and AOG support.

SriLankan Airlines and Lufthansa Technik AG extend support contract for Airbus A320 fleet
SriLankan Airlines has extended its existing contract with Lufthansa Technik AG for component support on its growing Airbus A320 fleet, including the carrier’s new A320neo aircraft. LHT will maintain all aspects of daily component support for the fleet at its global network of repair facilities, with pooling provided through Hong Kong and Singapore.

Spairliners to support Georgian Airways
Georgian Airways has signed a multi-year contract with Spairliners for component maintenance service of its two Embraer E190 aircraft. Spairliners will support Georgian Airways with spare parts from its large-scale component pool in Munich and Paris, with agreed component repair services carried out by Spairliners’ parent companies, Lufthansa Technik AG and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance.
