Timco Aerosystems
Timco Aerosystems introduced Cabin Optimization, a new solution for cabin reconfiguration. By relocating and modifying design of selected monuments, such as lavatories and galleys, Timco reconfigured existing cabin layouts to add new rows of seat to generate additional revenue from flights.
Jet Aviation Specialists
Jet Aviation Specialist (JAS), an MRO service company that supports military and civil aviation and industrial turbines, has expanded its service portfolio. JAS has added the CFM56-5B and -7B combustor repairs to its capabilities and CAAC has authorized JAS for CFM capabilities (CFM56-3, 5B and 7B).
Spectronics
Spectronics introduces the ALK-365 Aviation Fluid Leak Detection Kit that helps find leaks in aviation fuel, lubrication and hydraulic systems. The kit works with all petroleum and synthetic based lubricants and fluids. It includes cordless and rechargeable OPTIMAX 365 UV LED leak detection flashlight that is four times brighter than other high-intensity UV lamps. The kit also includes an 8 oz bottle of Aero-Brite universal fluorescent dye and an 8 oz bottle of GLO-AWAY dye cleaners, smart AC and DC chargers, rubber lamp protector, a belt holster and UV-absorbing glasses.
Karl Storz Industrial Group
Karl Storz Industrial Group introduces MoVeo, new portable articulating videoscope system for industrial remote visual inspection applications. This 4-way articulating video borescope system has integrated full color display, LED light source, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and embedded imaging software.
StandardAero Components
StandardAero Components created a 30,000 sq. ft. Composite Processing and Repair Center by expanding its repair facility located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The expanded capabilities include repair and overhaul of various component types including fan cases, acoustic liners, stationary air/oil seals, spinner cones, fan platforms, outer guide vanes and vane booster assemblies.
Lufthansa Technik
The new line of Lufthansa Technik chairs is dedicated to VIP and business jet aircrafts. The design allows for basic working chairs, lounge chairs and full flat sleeping beds. These chairs save weight and space as well as offering new features such as “active seating” for children and adults.
Nordam and GE Capital Aviation Services
Nordam and GE Capital Aviation Services (Gecas) Asset Management Services have partnered to provide airline customers with enhanced options for flight controls. Combing Nordam’s component repair and Gecas’ inventory of flight control parts from aircraft teardowns, the team will now offer airlines a faster and lower-cost solution than the repair of the customer’s part.
Haitex Aircraft Maintenance
Haitex Aircraft Maintenance launched a new subsidiary, Haitec VIP Maintenance, which operates from Erfurt Airport. With a 4,300 sq. m. hangar dedicated to VIP customers Haitec VIP Maintenance will offer standard line and base maintenance, cabin refurbishment and interior design applications.
