Gallery: Inside J&C Aero’s Vilnius Cabin Interiors Hub

Aircraft cabin interiors specialist J&C Aero has been quietly carving out a niche in a market long dominated by larger OEMs. The company recently brought all its activities together under one roof in Vilnius, Lithuania, at a new 3,600 m² (approximately 39,000 ft.²) cabin hub that unites design, production, certification, and research and development. Aviation Week Network took an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the facility.

Rows of stripped economy class seats await refurbishment. The seats will undergo full restoration—including new covers, foam and trim—and be prepped for reinstallation.

Computer numerical control machines enable complex and accurate cutting, shaping and finishing of various materials, such as metals and plastics.

Robotic arms enable around-the-clock production of complex cabin components—from class dividers to seat attachments.

Upholstery, carpets and seatbelts are stitched in-house, tailored for comfort and compliance.

In these dust-free booths, J&C Aero staff mix colors, measure paint thickness to aviation standards and conduct burn tests to ensure airworthiness.
