Air New Zealand partnered with UK-based Acro Aircraft Seating to create a seat form that features upgraded inflight entertainment (IFE) integration, reclining ergonomics and overall increased width.
Seat Covers With Flight Interiors

The seat covers, developed with New Zealand-based Flight Interiors, were consumer-tested in 90-min. stretches. Most respondents rated the new design higher in terms of support and overall comfort level compared with other economy-class seats.
Wider Seats

The window and aisle seats are 1 cm wider than those on Air New Zealand’s current Airbus fleet; middle seats are 3 cm wider.
Maintaining The Seat Pitch

Air New Zealand retained the seat pitch (the space between one seat and the one in front of it), but repositioned the recline toward customers’ knees or thighs.
