EASA has issued safety information bulletin 2019-16R1 on removal from service of Umlaut Engineering hand-operated fire extinguishers.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-0310 for Airbus A380-841s, -842s and -861s, requiring replacement of rudder electrical backup hydraulic actuator solenoid valves and amending master minimum equipment list, effective Jan. 3, 2020.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-0314 for Airbus A330s and A340s, requiring replacement of ground service manifold manual valve attachment bolts, effective Jan. 3, 2020.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-0315 for Airbus A330s, requiring inspection of fuselage frame 67 stringer 44 right hand, effective Jan. 6, 2020.

EASA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-0316 for Airbus A320 family, requiring pressure check of emergency escape slide raft inflation reservoir, effective Jan. 6, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-17 for all Boeing MD-90-30s, requiring repetitive eddy current, low frequency inspections of the left and right side fastener holes of center wing stringers for any crack, repetitive eddy current, high frequency inspections of the lower skin for any crack and repair if any crack is found, effective Jan. 24, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-25-17 for all Boeing 737-600s, -700s, -700Cs, -800s, -900s and -900ERs, operating at specific runways in the U.S., Colombia, and Guyana, requiring revising the airplane flight manual to prohibit selection of certain runways for airplanes equipped with certain software, effective Dec. 27, 2019.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-13 for certain Airbus A320 family aircraft, requiring repetitive high frequency eddy current inspections for cracking of a stiffener of a certain lateral window frame, and applicable related investigative and corrective actions, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-25-13 for all Engine Alliance GP7270s and GP7277s with a certain low-pressure compressor 1st-stage fan blade installed, requiring ultrasonic inspection of the affected 1st-stage fan blades and replacement of any affected fan blades that fail the inspection, effective Jan. 14, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-12 for certain De Havilland Aircraft of Canada DHC-8-401s and -402s, requiring a detailed visual inspection of stringer end fittings and keel fittings for loose or working fasteners, signs of wear, and corrosion, and repair if necessary; and a general visual inspection of the keel tension fitting and stringer end fittings, as applicable, and repairs and replacement of the keel and stringer end fittings if necessary, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-15 for certain Boeing 737-900ERs, requiring replacement of nonconforming head strike pads with conforming head strike pads, effective Jan. 14, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-16 for certain Embraer ERJ 190-100 STDs, -100 LRs, -100 IGWs, and -100 ECJs, ERJ 190-200 STDs, -200 LRs and -200 IGWs, requiring revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate more restrictive airworthiness limitations, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-24-18 for certain Boeing 727s, 757s and 767-200s, -300s, -300Fs and -400ERs, requiring a general visual inspection of the angle of attack sensors for certain sensors, and replacement of affected sensors, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-23-16 for all Boeing Company 737-100s, -200s, -200Cs, -300s, -400s and -500s, requiring repetitive surface high frequency eddy current inspections of the left and right upper wing skin for any crack, repetitive general visual inspections of the upper wing skin in the adjacent rib bay areas for any crack, and applicable on-condition actions, effective Feb. 3, 2020.

FAA has issued airworthiness directive 2019-23-04 for certain Boeing 727s, requiring modifying the fuel quantity indicating system to prevent development of an ignition source inside the body-mounted auxiliary fuel tanks due to electrical fault conditions, or deactivating the body-mounted auxiliary fuel tanks, effective Feb. 4, 2020.
