Ameco Inks Freighter MRO Deals
Ameco signed several freighter-focused deals at MRO Greater China. These include a five-year agreement with EFW and Asia Pacific Aviation Leasing Group covering Airbus A330 passenger-to-freighter conversions; a five-year general maintenance and technical services agreement with Air China Cargo for its A330 freighter fleet; and an engine maintenance agreement with North-Western Cargo International Airlines focused on Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engines powering its Boeing 757s.
More Ameco Maintenance Agreements
Ameco also signed a cooperation agreement with Xizang Airlines focused on the overhaul of Airbus A330 landing gear, and a 15-year agreement with Collins Aerospace for fire extinguisher bottle components for Comac C909 and C919 aircraft. Under the latter agreement, Ameco will be Collins’ exclusive authorized repair station in China for fire protection system products.
SSAMC Becomes First Leap Premier MRO Shop In China
Sichuan Services Aero-engine Maintenance Company (SSAMC) announced at MRO Greater China that it will become a Premier MRO shop for CFM International Leap engines. SSAMC, a joint venture between Air China and CFM, is the first CFM Leap Premier MRO shop in China, and the first for Leap-1C engines that power the Comac C919 aircraft.
Liebherr-Aerospace Launches Loong Air Cooperation
Liebherr-Aerospace announced Loong Air as its launch customer for a new advanced protection coating process for heat transfer equipment components that complies with European Union REACH regulations. Liebherr says it is the first company to offer this service to airline customers in China. The companies signed a long-term collaboration agreement at the event under which Liebherr will provide major repair and re-coring services for heat transfer equipment on the airline’s Airbus A320ceo/neo fleet from its Shanghai site. Loong Air will manage cleaning, minor repairs and test procedures for heat transfer equipment.
HAECO Expands MRO Deals In China
HAECO signed a slew of agreements at MRO Greater China. It signed memoranda of understanding with cargo carriers Central Airlines and Fly Meta Group to collaborate on MRO across areas including airframe maintenance, line maintenance, engine services, landing gear, components and composite materials services. HAECO also extended its radome repair agreement with Airbus for multiple years in the Chinese mainland.
HAECO Announces MRO Milestones In Xiamen
HAECO also announced several MRO milestones at its facilities in Xiamen. HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) announced its first successful completion and delivery of a GE Aerospace CF34-10A engine. It is the sole GE Branded Services Agreement license holder for the engine type in the Greater China region. HAECO also announced it completed its first landing gear overhaul for the Comac C909 at HAECO Landing Gear Services in Xiamen.
GA Telesis Solidifies China Aviation Supplies Partnership
GA Telesis signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Aviation Supplies Co. focused on key areas such as aviation materials support, major component leasing and distribution, MRO services, and overseas asset management and support. GA Telesis says the agreement strengthens the companies’ long-standing relationship and reflects their shared commitment to supporting growth in China’s civil aviation industry.
MTU Maintenance, CASC Plan Engine Collaboration
MTU Maintenance Zhuhai signed a letter of intent with CASC (Beijing) Financial Leasing Co. to collaborate on MRO and asset management across the engine life cycle. In addition to maintenance, technical support and life cycle asset management, the deal also includes coordination of engine leasing and spare engine resources.
China National Aviation Materials Co. Inks OEM Deals
China National Aviation Materials Co. signed several agreements with Honeywell Aerospace covering Comac C919 inertial reference units, mechanical product line replaceable units for Airbus fleets in China, and retrofits of Boeing fleets in the region with enhanced ground proximity warning systems. China National Aviation Materials Co. also signed a strategic framework purchase agreement with International Aero Engines for the IAE V2500 engine.
