Jazz Aviation Signs Embraer Inventory Support Contract
Embraer signed a spare parts inventory support agreement with Jazz Aviation. Jazz, which operates 25 E175s, is the first customer of the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning program in Canada.
HAECO Signs Maintenance and Supply Agreements
HAECO signed several deals at MRO Americas:
It extended its maintenance cooperation with Atlas Air to support its Boeing 747 freighter fleet, including line maintenance support for 2026-30 and base maintenance support for 2028-30 in Hong Kong.
It expanded its supply chain partnership with Global Aviation Co. by consolidating existing agreements into a single group-wide contract that extends coverage to all of its entities across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
It signed a memorandum of understanding with Satair to explore development of a consignment supply program to support HAECO’s MRO operations.
AFI KLM E&M and Subsidiaries Sign Slew of Contracts
AFI KLM E&M and its subsidiaries announced four agreements at MRO Americas. The company signed an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility agreement with Woodward to provide MRO services for Woodward components across the CFM International Leap engine family, including fuel controls, actuators, pumps and valves.
Its Epcor subsidiary signed a 15-year contract extension with Air Canada to support its APS5000 auxiliary power units.
And AFI KLM E&M’s Barfield subsidiary signed a three-year component repair and overhaul agreement with AerFin covering components for Airbus A320-family and A330, Boeing and Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft. Barfield also announced plans to provide technical and logistical support as JetBlue rolls out Donecle drones for aircraft inspections.
AerFin Strengthens Americas Support
In addition to its Barfield deal, AerFin announced a range of news. The company started a new logistics partnership with National Air Cargo to support its aircraft teardown operations, focused on the movement of materials between Miami and Marana, Arizona.
AerFin also announced it now has “a substantial [Airbus] A330 inventory” available at its Miami hub to support Latin American operators, and it signed a new agreement with APAS Chile to collaborate on Airbus A320neo material.
Finally, the company announced that it has secured FAA, European Union Aviation Safety Agency and UK Civil Aviation Authority approval to perform light maintenance on the IAE V2500 engine.
Ontic Launches Teardown Program and Signs Boeing Distribution Deal
Ontic announced a new distribution agreement with Boeing to supply Grimes engine valves to global commercial airlines. Ontic says the deal adds more than 1,000 new parts to Boeing Distribution’s offering and should shorten lead times.
Ontic also launched a new proactive teardown procurement program, starting with a Boeing 747-400 formerly operated by Thai Airways. It says it plans to secure critical inventory from airframes that have been removed from service and perform technical and regulatory scrutiny, inspection and overhaul before returning parts to service.
Delta Grows Third-Party Airline MRO Agreements
Delta TechOps furthered its third-party MRO growth ambitions by signing deals with two airlines at MRO Americas. The first involves a long-term collaboration with LATAM Airlines Brasil that is initially focused on Airbus A320 component repair. Delta TechOps also announced an eight-year exclusive CFM International CFM56-5B maintenance contract with IndiGo.
Airbus Secures Digital Product Deals
Airbus announced that Delta Air Lines has deployed its Descent Profile Optimization (DPO) product to optimize vertical flight profiles and reduce fuel consumption during approach. The DPO has been deployed across Delta’s 270-aircraft Airbus fleet, and the aircraft manufacturer says this is the largest retrofit of the DPO across a mixed Airbus fleet to date.
Airbus also signed an agreement to upgrade cockpit display systems on 46 of JetBlue’s A320s with the installation of Enhanced Electronic Instrument System displays. JetBlue also adopted Airbus subsidiary Skywise’s Fleet Performance+ solution.
LHT Signs Aviatar and Component Contracts
Lufthansa Technik (LHT) announced that Canadian leisure airline Air Transat has introduced Aviatar’s Electronic Technical Logbook, including the recently developed Digital Cabin Logbook application, across its fleet of Airbus A321 and A330 aircraft. LHT says Air Transat is the first customer to operate the digital system in both the cockpit and cabin.
LHT also signed an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility Agreement with Woodward for CFM International Leap-1A and -1B components. Under the deal, LHT will provide repair and overhaul services on Woodward fuel controls, valves and actuators for Leap engines.
AAR Signs Two Deals and Launches AI Parts Procurement Subsidiary
AAR signed a multi-year commercial distribution agreement with Woodward covering consumable parts for CFM International Leap and GE Aerospace GEnx and CF34 engines. It will serve as the preferred distributor of Woodward products, including fuel filters, gaskets and seals.
AAR was also awarded an approximately $305 million contract to provide contractor logistics support for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Boeing C-40A fleet.
In addition, AAR launched its Airvoyant subsidiary, which will focus on automating aviation procurement using agentic artificial intelligence.
Acorn Capital Management Acquires MTI Aviation
Component repair and parts sales specialist MTI Aviation announced that private equity firm Acorn Capital Management has acquired a majority interest in the company. MTI Founder and CEO Jorge Mejia will continue to lead the company and remain a significant shareholder, and Acorn and MTI say the partnership will give MTI increased resources and capital to “accelerate expansion initiatives and augment its strong growth profile.” This will include pursuing organic growth opportunities and targeted add-on acquisitions, according to the companies.
FCAH Aerospace Gets New Branding and Boeing Distribution Deal
FCAH Aerospace announced that it has rebranded as First Class Air and formally launched an integration platform that unifies its operating companies: Cargo Repair, First Class Air Support, Cobalt Aero Services, Innodyne Systems and Survival Products.
Survival Products also signed a 10-year exclusive distribution agreement with Boeing Distribution that adds its life raft and vest products to Boeing’s distribution portfolio.
Dedienne Renews Collins Nacelle Tooling Contract
Dedienne Aerospace renewed its exclusive license with Collins Aerospace for legacy and new-generation nacelle tooling, including ground support equipment and related services.
DTX and Liebherr Sign ERJ Landing Gear Agreement
DTX Aerospace signed a license service agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace to perform maintenance services on Embraer ERJ family nose landing gear components from its landing gear facility in Rio de Janeiro.
Fokker Services Group Signs SkyLog-25 Recorder Deal
Fokker Services Group signed a commercial agreement with KGB Aviation Solutions to integrate its SkyLog-25 flight data and cockpit voice recorder across multiple aircraft platforms. Fokker Services Group CEO Menzo van der Beek says SkyLog-25 offers a “technically flexible path forward” for operators that want to solve obsolescence challenges and increased maintenance costs when dealing with aging legacy fleet recorders.
ILS Launches New Digital Capabilities
Inventory Locator Service (ILS) announced a new integration partnership with Block Aero Technologies, a blockchain-based aviation asset management software provider. ILS will provide application programming interface connectivity with Block Aero’s platform, which it says “aims to reduce fragmented processes and improve data flow between internal asset management systems and marketplace activity.”
ILS also introduced a new capability called Digital Catalog that allows suppliers to extend the visibility of inventory they already manage in ILS’ platform by helping them “present inventory in a more branded, searchable format while creating a direct path for buyers to engage,” says Ashley Neeley, vice president of product services at ILS.
AkzoNobel and Donecle Introduce Drone Coatings Inspection Tech
AkzoNobel introduced a new drone-based inspection tool developed in partnership with Donecle that measures coating performance. The Iris Coatings Management eXpert tool uses a sensor mounted on a Donecle drone to capture data about dry film thickness, color data and gloss measurements.
Aeromexico Rolls Out Flydocs Software
Flydocs announced that Aeromexico has gone live with its Digital Records Management (DRM) package across its fleet of around 170 aircraft through a five-year partnership. According to Flydocs, Aeromexico will have a seamless flow of documentation between DRM and Swiss-AS AMOS software.
