
MRO Australasia Launch
Aviation Week Network has just announced the launch of a new MRO Australasia event, which will take place in Brisbane, Australia March 11-12, 2020. The event, which was announced at the MRO Asia-Pacific Queensland Pavilion, will focus on the rapidly growing MRO landscape in the region.

Singapore Pavilion
The Singapore Pavilion showcased more than 20 different exhibitors with a regional presence in Singapore, including Regent Aerospace—which just signed a contract with Satair for aircraft cabin upgrades and refurbishments—and Bollore Logistics—which just signed an Asia supply chain distribution agreement with Aviation Partner And Consulting.

GE Digital Predix ServiceMax ASM
GE Digital gave demos of its new Predix ServiceMax ASM software, which was just released last month. The asset service management software solution helps planners, dispatchers and technicians keep track of and better understand the service requirements of assets such as components, engines and aircraft.

Satair and GMF AeroAsia Contract Signings
Both Satair and GMF AeroAsia had a flurry of contract signings at this year’s MRO Asia-Pacific. The two companies signed a contract covering exclusive material support for third party Airbus C checks. Meanwhile, Satair signed an agreement with Regent Aerospace Corporation covering aircraft cabin upgrades and refurbishments while GMF AeroAsia signed contracts with AirAsia Indonesia and Korean Air.

Meet the Buyers
The Meet the Buyers event gave suppliers and potential customers ranging from airlines, MROs, OEMs and lessors the chance to meet face-to-face and talk business. This year’s event had nearly 40 buyers and more than 30 suppliers who booked more than 220 meetings.

MSA WinGrip Virtual Reality Experience
MSA showcased its WinGrip system for safe at-height work on aircraft using a virtual reality simulation, which allows users to select each component of the WinGrip system and experience how it would work on top of an aircraft.


Inflight Pavilion
The Inflight Pavilion offered a variety of free panels related to IFEC and cabin technology, which was capped off with an awards ceremony on Thursday afternoon to celebrate regional achievements in the segment.

Ban Chu Leong Technologies Robotics
Ban Chu Leong Technologies showed off a robotic tool for polishing and grinding fan blades, composites and metal parts. The automated solution is able to quickly change abrasive discs used for polishing to maximize efficiency.

Pattonair Virtual Reality Tool
Pattonair displayed a virtual reality tool it is developing to practice kitting. The VR simulation at the show allowed users to conquer their fear of heights by walking a sky-high plank.
