Data Tool: Line Maintenance Demand In Africa, 2023-32

Aviation Week’s 2023 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that commercial MRO demand in Africa will represent a value of $29.7 billion for the period 2023-32. The continent's line maintenance segment is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 1.5% for the period 2023-32.  

Aviation Week data shows that line maintenance work accounts for 17%, around $5 billion of total MRO demand in the region. Among which, daily and weekly checks will see the highest demand of 60%, around $3 billion, while transit checks and A checks will see demand of around $1.4 billion and $6 million, respectively. 

The data below illustrates that the demand for line maintenance in the region is projected to grow steadily until 2026. Beyond then, there will be a gradual decline in the demand for line maintenance.
