The landing gear MRO demand forecast in Europe is set to reach $194 million in 2022 and grow to $385 million in 2031 at a compound annual growth rate of 7.9%, outpacing average global growth during that time frame. The forecast in Europe constitutes 21% of the global landing gear market in 2022 and reaches 25% by 2031.

Single aisle aircraft are driving global landing gear MRO demand, followed by twin aisle aircraft. Growth is steady through 2028, where single aisle aircraft demand for landing gear MRO initially peaks at $187 million, reaching a period high of $220 million in 2031. In 2029, there is a $61 million single year decline in demand, driven by market dynamics of the Airbus A320-200, Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8. Changes stem from projected retirements, as well as long-term storage and MAX groundings in 2019-20 that are reverberating into the future.
