UK-based independent aviation solutions provider Complete Aircraft Group (CAG) continues to expand its capabilities with the launch of a new commercial engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) support business.
The company has launched Complete Engine Services (CES) to grow its capabilities in aircraft engine health monitoring and inspections.
The venture will also be based in the UK CES and will provide aircraft borescope inspection and boreblend repair services on commercial engines, both in on-wing and off-wing scenarios.
It has recently gained UK Civil Aviation, FAA and EASA Part 145 approval to provide services for several commercial engines, including CFM International CFM56-3/5/78 engine types, Leap 1A/1B, IAE V2500 and Pratt & Whitney PW1000 engine types.
The company will also support several APUs, including the GTCP131-9A/B, GTCP36 series and the APS3200.
“We are most excited to be widening the group’s expertise into engine health monitoring and borescope inspections,” says Jason Davis, business development manager at CAG.
“The launch of Complete Engine Services is a significant enhancement to the Complete Group. It builds on our desire to further enlarge upon existing business relationships,” adds Alan Barnes, head of operations at CAG.
CAG has made significant investment in the newest 3D videoscope and boreblend technologies, which Barnes says will enable the company to provide consistent and high quality service to meet the engine inspection sector’s demand.
“Having held positive and productive talks with airline MROs and aircraft lessors, CES enters the market with a firm ‘consistent approach’ to borescope inspections, utilizing the very latest digital 3D tip measurement technology,” adds Davis.
Over the last couple of years, CAG has been working to enhance its portfolio of support services. In September 2022, it acquired Aerocare Aviation Services, a UK-based MRO, interior and paint specialist.
