A320 Engine Mount Problem
EASA just issued a proposed airworthiness directive that impacts some Airbus A319s, A320s and A321s powered by IAE V2500 engines.
The problem: A batch of forward engine mount pins are defective because of a quality issue with the raw material during manufacturing.
These Goodrich strctures need to be inspected and can be corrected by either following an Airbus service bulletin issued Nov. 5 or by complying with Goodrich Aerostructures SB V2500-NAC-71-0323.
EASA is accepting comments on this proposed AD through Jan. 1.
