Lufthansa's supervisory board approved the purchase of 42 aircraft - 10 A340-300s, six A321s, six MD-11 freighters, 10 50-seat Bombardier CRJ100 regional jets and 10 68-seat CRJ700s, valued at US$2.3 billion.
