Forecast: APAC Commercial Engine MRO Demand

The Commercial Engine MRO demand for the Asia Pacific region is projected to surpass $101 billion with over 22,000 engine service events through 2033.

The 2024 edition of Aviation Week’s Commercial Aviation Fleet & MRO Forecast projects how the world’s aircraft fleet and aftermarket will evolve over the next 10 years. The active APAC commercial aircraft fleet increases from just over 4,900 active aircraft in 2024 to over 7,600 in 2033 – a nearly 56% increase in fleet strength during the period. This increase in fleet  translates to an increase in engine MRO demand during the same period. Required engine MRO demand for the region will grow at a respectable CAGR of 1.7%.

The forecast projects that the market will be very closely split between Rolls-Royce engines accounting for the largest portion of engine MRO demand, capturing 27.1% of the APAC market, followed closely by CFM International (26.9%) and General Electric (26.5%).
