October 5 — About 1637 EDT, a Piper Aerostar 602P (N326CW) departed from Kokomo Municipal Airport (OKK), Kokomo, Indiana, and crashed in a field about 3.6 mi. south of the airport. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces. The airline transport pilot was killed in the accident.
