General Dynamics-Newport News merger canceled
NO MERGER: General Dynamics Corp. and Newport News Shipbuilding have agreed to terminate their plan to merge, Newport News announced Oct. 26. Northrop Grumman has also been seeking to buy the shipbuilding company, and on Oct. 23 the Department of Defense said it supports that bid.
