A GE CF34 engine suffered an uncontained fan disk failure

A GE CF34 engine suffered an uncontained fan disk failure while operating on a Mesa CRJ200 on Jan. 25. An FAA emergency AD said the defect was introduced when the disk was being marked as part of the assembly process.
