Qatar's Qsuite cabin is laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration, with seats facing both forward and aft. This is the single outboard seat; the flat area beside the seat cushion is a height-adjustable armrest.

In the center twin-seat section of the cabin, a partition can be retracted to allow two companions to converse easily.

A major innovation in the new business-class cabin is the ability to remove partitions and slide away IFE screens to create a "club four" configuration that allows a party of passengers to socialize inflight. The airline is introducing a "platter service" of food to complement this arrangement.

The top surface of the armrest beside the seat opens to provide a commodious space for storing personal items. The new business class cabin will also be introduced on the airline’s Airbus A350s.

The illuminated instrument panel controlling aspects of the seat is placed in front of the armrest. Controls include a "Do Not Disturb" button that illuminates a red light on the sliding door beside each seat that gives privacy from passengers moving around the cabin.

The seats convert into lie-flat beds with new bed linen and pillows, plus pajamas for passengers. The first aircraft on which the new cabin has been installed is a Boeing 777-300ER, appropriately registered A7-BED.

Removal of partitions between two adjoining seats allows couples to have a twin-bed arrangement for overnight flights. The seats are by B/E Aerospace, which was taken over earlier this year by Rockwell Collins.
