First stop: the temperature check station. Every person has his or her temperature taken before being able to enter the convention center.

Then American Airlines COO David Seymour’s cutout went to registration to pick up his badge. Aviation Week exempted him from the mandatory mask rule because this version of David is cardboard.

Cutout David made his big public debut as a surprise participant in the first C-Suite session at the MRO Americas Conference, as Aviation Week Executive Editor Lee Ann Shay interviewed the real, but virtual, American Airlines COO David Seymour.

After the conference session, Aviation Week President Greg Hamilton welcomed cardboard David Seymour to the exhibition.

While exploring the MRO Americas exhibition, a flight simulator caught his attention.

He then learned about autonomous drone aircraft inspections from Rizse CEO Colby Harvey.

Cutout David Seymour then ran into colleague Mark Miner, American Airlines’ VP line maintenance.

Aviation Week’s Lee Ann Shay and David Seymour held a brief meeting in this fuselage conference room on the exhibit floor to discuss the rest of the tour.

While exploring the vendor booths, this custom workbench at MRO Americas caught David’s attention.

Last stop: David’s doppelganger plays ping pong at the MRO Americas exhibition in Orlando.
