First Flight Bonanza Week?

It looks like this will be a great week for aviation with the likelihood for two airliner first flights, the Bombardier CSeries and the Boeing 787-9.

Congrats to Bombardier for a great first flight Monday of its CSeries aircraft out of Montreal Mirabel Airport.

And it is expected that the 787-9, a stretched version of the 787-8 Dreamliner, will also conduct its first flight out of Seattle this week, weather permitting.

The -9 is about 20 feet longer than the -8, carries about 40 more passengers and has about 300 nautical miles more range. Launch customer is Air New Zealand.
