FAA To Name Foreign Y2K Laggards On Web Site
With 53 countries not responding to an International Civil Aviation Organization survey on Y2K readiness, FAA Administrator Jane Garvey testified yesterday that the agency and the State Department will go public with the names of non-compliant countries and their airlines and airports on a web site, starting Sept. 30. Garvey told a combined hearing of two House panels that web site will be updated bi-weekly at first and soon have weekly updates.
