Honda Aircraft Company Inc.'s first production airplane is the HondaJet — designated the HA-420. It competes with entry-level jet aircraft such as the Cessna Citation M2, Cessna Mustang, Eclipse 550 and Embraer Phenom 100/100E.

Perhaps most distinctive about this aircraft is the "Over-the-Wing Engine Mount" design. HondaJet says mounting the GE Honda HF120 engines over the wings, rather than beneath them or at the tail, increases cabin space and fuel efficiency and reduces noise.
