This year’s Dubai Airshow is set to be the biggest yet. Still six months away, the show, which will be held at Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) from Nov. 8-12, has registered 1,100 exhibitors from 60 countries and expects to host 65,000 trade visitors. “U.S. participation has doubled, Russia is coming in quite large, and Turkey’s representation is growing,” Michele van Akelijen, managing director of show organizer F&E Aerospace, told ShowNews. “The interest that we are seeing is fantastic. It is wonderful to see how many industry heavyweights worldwide are recognizing the potential of the region.”

Some 160 aircraft are booked to appear at the show, including 40 from the business aviation sector, representing all of the major manufacturers. For the first time this year, UAVs will take part in the daily 3-hr. flying display.
