Blink air taxi service announced this week the acquisition of Italian operator MyJet, its three Cessna Citation Mustangs and its maintenance facility in northern Italy. The increased fleet of nine Mustangs now equals 30% of the European air taxi fleet. In addition, Blink has bought Blackbushe Airport, west of London, which has been its home for the past four years. This, says the company, will allow security of tenure as well as regulate costs and provide a better customer experience. Cameron Ogden, managing director and co‐founder, said, “This is a demonstration that the European air taxi industry has come of age and that the much-talked-about period of consolidation has started.”
