Delta asked DOT for an exemption to provide Atlanta-Istanbul service as part of its expansion of service to Europe beginning this summer (DAILY, Jan. 6). It plans to start nonstop service on the route June 1, operating three weekly roundtrips using MD-11 aircraft. (Docket OST-99-4997)
