A C-390 model adapted with Elbit Systems equipment is on display at Elbit's Singapore Airshow stand.
SINGAPORE—Israeli supplier Elbit Systems is pursing the market to use the Embraer C-390 as an airborne intelligence platform.
The company, at the Singapore Airshow, is showing a model of the tanker/transport aircraft equipped with its electro-optical/infrared sensors and electronic warfare systems.
The concept is part of an ongoing pursuit, a company official said, without disclosing the potential buyer.
Elbit is already a provider of self-protection equipment for the KC-390. Portugal, for instance, operates the system that it ordered in 2019. The Netherlands and Austria also use Elbit’s self-protection kit on their versions of the aircraft.
