Utilization Change for Business Operator Classes - June-August 2024

Fractional operators led growth for hourly flown figures from June to August 2024, having surpassed its performance against the same period of 2023, according to Tracked Aircraft Utilization by the Aviation Week Intelligence Network.  Fractional operator utilization rose 11% during the period, compared to the same period in 2023 and was up 55% compared to the same period in 2019.  Results for Charter entities (Non-scheduled Airlines) show a 5% increase year-on-year, while its recent 3-month total was 30% above the same period of 2019 utilization. 

The total hours for Corporate operators – the largest of the four operator classes – came to over 915,000 hrs. during the three-month period of 2024, 1% above June-August 2023 and 11% above the same period of 2019.
