Russia plans to mount a further export push for its Su-57E fighter, using the El Alamein International Airshow as the backdrop after the aircraft appeared at last year's Dubai Airshow.
Rostec, the Russian conglomerate that owns Sukhoi and other defense and aerospace companies, said it planned to show off a configuration it has not displayed before.
"In Egypt, we are presenting an export version featuring brand-new weaponry being shown for the first time," Rostec said Sept. 3.
The company said deliveries to foreign partners were underway, without identifying the buyers.
Rostec earlier said it also planned to show a counter-drone system at the gathering in Egypt. The Bayson system features four 7.62mm machine guns to down the threat, along with radar, electro-optical and infrared sensors, and a laser range finder.
