Embraer displayed its C-390 airlifter at Yelahanka Air Force Station. The Brazilian company is likely to vie for a potential contract with India should it move beyond the request for information stage for a Medium Transport Aircraft.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) have an agreement to cooperate on production of IAI’s Long-Range Artillery (LORA) Weapon System. If the Indian Army were to purchase the weapon, the LORA missile would extend the service’s reach to 400 km (250 mi.) beyond their short-range ballistic missile in development, the Prahaar, which will fly up to 150 km, and the already operational Prithvi-II, which can fly out to 350 km.

One of the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization’s most promising uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) is the TAPAS intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, tracking and reconnaissance platform, which addresses the needs of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Throughout Aero India, the UAS was providing real-time video feeds of the flight display to jumbotrons around the show grounds.

Larsen & Toubro, under its joint venture with MBDA, manufactures the Mica air-to-air missile launcher and rear section for the Dassault Rafale fighter in India.
