AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERS delivered 28 converted freighters (18 737-800SFs; five 737-400SFs; two MD-80SFs; three CRJ200SFs) in 2023, including its 600th, vs 41 in 2022. It sees a slight decline in 2024, but says it plans to use predicted slowdown to complete studies on potentially introducing new AEI freighter programs for the 737-900 and CRJ900.
WESTJET agreed to lease five new 737-8s from CDB Aviation (3) and Avolon (2) for delivery in early 2025. It is now scheduled to take delivery of as many as 22 new 737 MAXs before the end of 2025 and another 40 in 2026-2028.
NORSE ATLANTIC AIRWAYS appointed Seabury Securities as investment banker to execute some strategic initiatives, including developing strategic partnerships with an existing airline, which may even include a material ownership stake.
