FAA has tasked a rulemaking advisory committee with studying pilot fitness, including emotional and mental heath, and issuing recommendations on any rule changes or guidance within six months. The effort, recommended by the Commercial Aviation Safety Team, is a direct response to the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525, among others, FAA says.
