Boingo now provides Internet connectivity at 30 of the top 49 airports in the U.S., according to a report provided to the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, which runs Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Airports like LAX—which just renewed with Boingo for seven years—like the service because it does not require them to run their own networks and it provides some revenue.

Airbus is preparing its E-Fan electric aircraft demonstrator for a groundbreaking flight across the English Channel in the next few months. All Nippon Airways (ANA) is looking to reenter the Australian market with a Tokyo Haneda-Sydney flight. The airline wants to start the service in the upcoming northern winter season, and if it cannot do it by then, in the summer 2016 schedule. It would probably use a Boeing 767 or 787 for such a flight. ANA last flew this route in 1999. Qantas and Japan Airlines operate flights from Tokyo Narita to Sydney, but Qantas will switch the route to Haneda in August.

Porter Airlines will begin flying to Pittsburgh International Airport on Sept. 21, the airport announced June 25. Porter will serve Pittsburgh, its 22nd destination, up to twice daily from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. When service starts, Pittsburgh will have service to six international destinations.
