Pakistan says it has successfully tested its nuclear-capable air-launched cruise missile, “Ra’ad,” a precision-guided munition that uses low-level flight maneuvers to avoid detection by air defense systems. Ra’ad, developed in Pakistan, has a range of about 350 km (217.5 mi.) and can be used on land or at sea. Lt. Gen. Mazhar Jamil, Pakistan’s director general of the strategic plans division, called the tests a “major step toward complementing Pakistan’s deterrence capability.”
