Glenn Hogben was appointed CEO of The Air Charter Association, based in London, in January. Hogben joined The ACA in 2008 and was elected to the nonexecutive board in 2017. He previously served as deputy chair and aided in the creation of the new Broker Qualification course. He has more than 17 years of experience in aircraft charter, leasing and management.


Textron Aviation’s King Air 260 Earns FAA Approval

WICHITA–Textron Aviation has received FAA type certification for its Beechcraft King Air 260, its upgraded King Air 250 twin-turboprop.

Four bidders have made offers to take over Italian group Piaggio Aerospace. The unnamed suitors are proposing to purchase the two companies— Piaggio Aviation and Piaggio Aero Industries—which form Villanova d’Albenga-based Piaggio Aerospace.

The market for pre-owned twin-engine helicopters dropped by half during the first half of 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, but the segment finished the year with a 10% increase in sales compared to 2019, according to Aero Asset, a Toronto-based helicopter trading firm.
