Second Test Cell
Duncan Aviation’s existing 20,000-lb.-thrust test cell used for Honeywell TFE731 engines, which became operational in 2017, “is running all the time,” so it wanted to build a new 20,000-lb.-thrust Atec test facility to support the PW300 and PW500 engines, says Scott Stoki, VP of engine operations.
TFE731 Overhaul
Duncan Aviation also is a Honeywell TFE731 authorized overhaul shop. It employs 65 team members in 3 shifts.
Test Cell
Duncan’s original 20,000-lb. thrust test cell.
HTF7000
Duncan Aviation has been performing authorized repairs on Honeywell HTF7000 since 2015, including 4,800-hour borescope inspections.
RE100 APU MRO
Earlier this year Honeywell authorized Duncan Aviation to perform RE100 APU heavy maintenance—the capability of which Duncan expects to come online in 2027.
Parts Warehouse
The new engine center includes a parts warehouse that includes 4,362 lines of inventory.
Education Center
Duncan Aviation’s technical education center supports its 20-month AMT apprenticeship program that started in 2020. Two cohorts start annually. The center also is used for onboarding new hires and supports DME testing for new FAA mechanics.
