Thomas Hirschmann, former Jet Aviation chairman and CEO, died April 3 in Zurich of an undisclosed illness. He was 64. Hirschmann, the second son of Jet Aviation founder Carl Hirschmann, served the company for 29 years. He launched the company’s completion business, boosted its marketing and communications department, established a presence in the U.S. and expanded Jet Aviation into Asia. The company, founded in 1967 in Switzerland, is now a subsidiary of General Dynamics.
