Constant Aviation Applies Antimicrobial Shield To 250 Aircraft

Constant Aviation, a maintenance, repair and overhaul provider, is treating business and private aircraft with MicroShield 360, an antimicrobial shield approved by the FDA. It is a proprietary coating system that kills 99.99% of bacteria, it says.

The product has been tested for durability and effectiveness, ensuring treated surfaces are reducing germs, it says. The company and its partners have applied the shield to more than 250 aircraft, including the entire Flexjet fleet of aircraft since March 9 in the wake of the coronavirus causing COVID-19.

The technicians have streamlined the process to less than 2 hr. The number of treated aircraft is expected to double by the end of the month.
