From The Archives: Beech Plans To Boost Production, Introduces Model 350 Super King Air

Beech Aircraft Corp. planned to increase the production of turboprop, jet and piston-powered aircraft in 1990, our reporter Edward H. Philips wrote in the Oct.16, 1989 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology. 

Part of the increase was attributed to the strong demand for Model 350 Super King Air which would replace the Model 300 as the company's top-of-the-line King Air.

Charles Dieker, the company's executive vice president for marketing said the production would increase, but that "Beech is having difficulty finding about 200 experienced aircraft workers to build the Model 350."
