Jet-A Fuel Prices Decline In September
The national average cost for a gallon of Jet-A declined 8 cents in September 2025 compared to August prices and was down 9 cents a gallon from September 2024, according to a fuel survey of fixed-base operators (FBO) conducted by the Aviation Research Group US. The survey reflects prices reported by more than 200 FBOs across the U.S.
In September, the cost of a gallon of Jet-A averaged $6.53. All eight FAA regions recorded a price decrease, with the largest monthly decrease found in the Northwest Mountain and Western Pacific regions, which were both down 13 cents from August.
The smallest decrease was in the New England region, down 3 cents per gallon. The Western Pacific region was the most expensive at $7.17 per gallon, while the least expensive was the Central region at $5.85 per gallon.
