New data for the Q2 2024 period from Aviation Week Network’s Tracked Aircraft Utilization shows that fractional operators led growth for hourly flown figures, having surpassed its performance against the same period of 2023 (+11%) and 2019 (+58%). Results for non-scheduled airlines, or charter entities show a 5% increase year-on-year, while its recent 3-month total was 34% above the same period of 2019 utilization.
The total hrs for corporate operators – the largest of the four operator classes – came to over 930,000 hrs during the last three full months of 2024, same as Q2 2023 and 12% above the same period of 2019.
