The Dragon Lady's Dance

A U.S. Air Force U-2 reconaissance aircraft, also known as the “Dragon Lady,” made a brief appearance in Oshkosh, with the Lockheed aircraft making a few low passes over the airfield before departing.

An F-35 and three North American P-51 Mustangs fly over the crowds in Oshkosh, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force.

The U.S. Air Force is marking its 75th anniversary this year.

The milestone was marked at EAA AirVenture 2022 with flying displays with aircraft ranging from Douglas C-47 transports and "Doc," one of only two B-29s that are still flying, to an aerobatic display involving Lockheed Martin F-35 fighters. Closing out the second day of the show, an F-35 flew in formation with three North American P-51 Mustangs.
