During the week of the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture, the air traffic control tower at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh becomes the world’s busiest control tower for aircraft movements, according to the FAA.
Beechcraft Dinali Debuts

Textron Aviation is debuting the Beechcraft Dinali single-engine turboprop at Oshkosh. The $6.95 million aircraft is expected to enter service in 2025. It will be equipped with Garmin Autoland and the G3000 avionics suite. The new GE Aerospace Catalyst engine will power the aircraft.
Aviation enthusiasts find shade under the wings of Miss Virginia, a C-47 built in 1943 at the Douglas factory in Long Beach, California. The storied aircraft is being displayed by Dynamic Aviation of Bridgewater, Virginia.
Super Guppy Still Playing Space Role

NASA’s Super Guppy, which features a hinged nose that opens 110 degrees, is used for the transportation of oversized cargo. First developed in the 1960s for transporting spacecraft components to Cape Canaveral, it carried a structural test article for NASA's Artemis Moon rocket to Marshall Spaceflight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, in August 2022. The four-engine turboprop, will be displayed at EAA AirVenture until July 27.
Greg Childress (back) of Mesquite, Texas, lends the wing of his 1957 Piper PA-22-150 Tri-Pacer as shade for fellow attendees of AirVenture 2023. The Tri-Pacer was part of a row of aircraft on display to demonstrate that buying an aircraft doesn’t have to be expensive. The average cost of a Piper Tri-Pacer ranges from $18,000 to $30,000. More than 9,400 Tri-Pacers were produced from 1950 to 1964.
