British United to fly BAC 1-11s

This British United Airways BAC 1-11, registered G-ASJC, was the fourth BAC 1-11. It made its first flight on April 1, 1964, from Hurn to Wisley, England. It is the third of 10 aircraft ordered by BUA. Another BAC 1-11 was on the assembly line for Braniff International Airways at the time. Up to March 31, the BAC 1-11 had flown a total of 214 hours, 15 min. in 126 flights. The 79-passenger aircraft was powered by Rolls-Royce Spey engines.
This was taking place as ATW was going to press for the first time with the first issue, May 1964.
