U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated Barbara Barrett, former chair of the Aerospace Corporation, to be the next Air Force secretary. Trump made his announcement in a May 21 tweet. On the same day Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson held a farewell ceremony at Andrews AFB in Maryland. Her last day on the job is May 31 and Air Force Undersecretary Matt Donovan will serve as acting secretary in the interim.
