FAA, CAAS Strike Landmark U.S.-Asia MRO Regulatory Deal

FAA and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) made history earlier this month by inking the first set of Maintenance Implementation Procedures (MIP) between the U.S. agency and an Asian counterpart. The MIP, signed Feb. 16, paves the way for streamlined maintenance oversight for repair stations in the U.S. and Singapore, where there are 56 FAA-certificated shops, FAA data show.

Gogo Will Submit 2KU Internet Offer To American

Gogo acknowledges that American Airlines is permitted to change Internet providers on roughly 200 Boeing 737s if, in the airline’s “reasonable judgment,” it receives a more favorable contract proposal from another company.
