An unnoticed altitude on a controller’s screen and an unanticipated aerobatic maneuver by a training aircraft put an Air Canada Jazz Dash 8 and two-seat Zlin in dangerously close proximity as the Dash 8 departed Sault St. Marie Airport in Canada for Toronto in good weather on the afternoon of Sept. 3, 2014.
