Ireland Advances ADS-B Alert Service

While the primary use for the space-based automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) surveillance data will be reduced separation capability for subscribing airlines flying the North Atlantic, Ireland will provide the Alert system as a public service for rescue coordination centers, other ANSPs and any airline with the required vetting to obtain high-resolution tracking data for an errant aircraft anywhere on the globe.
