Steve Costley is responsible for the production of SpeedNews.

Steve has over 30 years of experience with SpeedNews, now part of the Aviation Week Network. He joined the company in August 1989 as an Associate Editor and was named Managing Editor in 1994. He was also named Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SpeedNews, Inc., in the late 1990s, and held those titles until Prism Business Media acquired the company from Gil Speed in 2006.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Steve spent his first four post-collegiate years teaching sophomore American Literature and senior Writing for College courses at Chaminade College Preparatory in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. In addition to his teaching duties, he was Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Information Director and Varsity Baseball Coach, and was named Head Coach of the Los Angeles Daily News’ Bernie Milligan All-Star Game in 1988. He also worked two years in Houston, TX as Director of Purchasing and Customer Service for Aerospace Interiors, an aircraft interior refurbishment shop that was later acquired by B/E Aerospace.

Steve has participated in many air shows, including Paris, Farnborough, Singapore and Dubai, and has attended other numerous industry conferences and conventions, such as ISTAT, Aircraft Interiors Expo, MRO, ACPC, RAA, NBAA, and of course the SpeedNews’ Suppliers Conferences. He has appeared on CNBC as an aviation analyst, and has been quoted in various newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University at Northridge. He is a member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT), and has competed in several local, state and national amateur golf tournaments, including the United States Amateur Championship.

It has signed an agreement with Goldman Sachs, Mizuho, BNP Paribas, MUFG, Société Générale, and Truist to provide committed warehouse financing to support growth of the co-investment vehicle.

EASYJET announced that its Board of Directors has agreed in principle on new fifth proposal of £6.90 per share in cash from CASTLELAKE to acquire its entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital, pending approvals. Castlelake must now declare its intention to make formal bid (or announce that it does not intend to make an offer) by August 3.
